When summer hits the city smart clothing is needed. These are items which are light, thin and easy to combine. These are my summer essentials.
1. SPF sun protection
Ok obviously you need a sun protection, especially when the sun is at it highest and thus it strongest. I always go for a minimun SPF 30, because my skin is very light. When I go for a swim I use a higher SPF of 50.
2. Blue denim shorts
This is a basic item which can be worm with different styles. Be sure it's a pretty basic item without prints, or other glittery details. Just a gorgeous bright blue denim colour. I chose mine with a few ripped details.
Black sunglasses, because black goes with everything. When you're buying new sunglasses be sure it has a high uv filter. You can often see on the tag how high the uv filter is. I always choose the ones with uv400 protection.
Fun sandals to spice up the basic outfit you're wearing a bit. What I like about my flatform sandals is that they lift you up from the ground, so you don't walk with your bare feet in dirt on the streets. And it's also nice that they make your legs look longer :).
5. Thin jewelry
When having it hot during the summer, you certainly don't want to wear big heavy jewelry. Go for smaller things, like these tiny knuckle rings.
6. Thin bra
Sometimes when it's so hot, a normal bra feels like a corset. Today I found a better solution at H&M. This small and super thin bra. Perfect for warmer days.
7. Summer sweater
Summer evenings still can feel a bit chilly. Throw on a thin knitted jumper to keep it warm, like this white one from H&M.
